Testimonials

“I am writing this recommendation on behalf of Kate Clouser based on my experience as a professional rider, trainer, coach and Regional Training and Show Manager for a very successful show barn in Southern California.

This 2025 show season marks the second season Kate has been part of our program both as a training student and competitor. In this time Kate has shown exemplary dedication to the sport and growing her education as a rider and horseman.  She has proven to have the ability and drive to move up quickly to be competitive in the 3’3 National classes at National rated shows. All this while continuing to hold a 4.2 GPA. I am confident she will continue to strive to continue her education and continue to move up throughout the rest of this season and throughout 2026 with success.

Lastly, Kate has a very solid support structure at home that gives her the consistency to continue her hard work to excel in this sport. I recommend Kate Clouser as a positive member of your team as I know she is a hard-working, dedicated, and devoted equestrian eager to continue her educational experience in the sport. I am happy to be available to answer any additional questions you may have.”
~ Becky Abeita – Regional Training and Show Manager, Elvenstar Farms, Moorpark, CA

“I have known and worked with Kate for about 3 years and admire her dedication to her riding. I have watched her grow not only as a rider but as a person as well. Kate is an athletic soft rider who is sympathetic to her horse’s needs and the horses like the way she rides. She is consistently showing in the 3’3″ hunter and equitation divisions. Kate is capable of riding a wide variety of horses with a good understanding of how to get the best out of each one. I would not hesitate to ask her to ride any type of horse and know that she would do a very nice job. She is a very hard worker who takes the care and training of her horse very seriously and is very passionate about learning new skills.

Kate is well liked by her teammates and is always there to help others while pursuing her own goals. I value Kate’s ability to adapt and tackle new projects and skills and her leadership and hard work are two of her greatest qualities. I believe that Kate will be a great asset to any team.”
~ Kay Altheuser – Director, Equestrian Programs, Elvenstar Farms; LAHJA President, Moorpark, CA

“For two years now, I have been working with Kate as her trainer. I was impressed the moment I met Kate with her natural desire to learn and work with the horse, and her dedication in all aspects of her horsemanship. Kate is always willing to help out around the barn, she never says no to a request. Her natural feel of, and attention to the horse is just one of her many admirable qualities. It has been my pleasure to get to be a part of Kate’s journey as a young rider and student and I am excited to see where her hard work and talent takes her. I expect only the best!”
~ Bonnie Jarvis – Regional Trainer, Elvenstar Farms, Moorpark, CA

“It’s with great pleasure I write to you to offer my recommendation of Kate Clouser to ride for a NCAA Equestrian Team.

I have been Kate’s Lacrosse Coach for the past 3 years. I have had the privilege of watching Kate evolve not only as a player, but also, as a person and leader. Kate embodies the tenacity and motivation a coach hopes to find in any athlete. She loves the sport of lacrosse and is educated beyond just her position or the mechanics of each skill. As a hardworking, dependable player who strives to excel, Kate encourages and is always available to her teammates on and off the field. Kate is a remarkable example who makes good decisions and great efforts to achieve success as a team. Kate is a motivated young person, fast learner and has natural intuition amongst her teammates, family, friends and community. I believe she’s a great candidate and should be considered for an NCAA Equestrian Team as she continues to persevere while pursuing her higher education.”
